Bob Miller Elevated To AIA Fellow

Bob Miller, President of R. Miller Architecture, Inc. located in Winter Park, Florida is one of 82 architects nationwide to be honored by the American Institute of Architects, College of Fellows. The 2006 Jury of Fellows elevated 82 AIA members to its prestigious College of Fellows, an honor awarded to members who have made significant contributions to the profession. Additionally, the jury chose 13 individuals to receive the designation of honorary fellow.

They will receive their Fellowship medal during the Investiture of Fellows Ceremony at the AIA 2006 National Convention and Design Expo in Los Angeles. The Investiture Ceremony will be held on June 9, 2006 at the Walt Disney Concert Hall, designed by architect Frank Gehry, FAIA.

The Fellowship program was developed to elevate those architects who have made a significant contribution to architecture and society and who have achieved a standard of excellence in the profession. Election to fellowship not only recognizes the achievements of architects as individuals, but also their significant contribution to architecture and society on a national level. Out of a total AIA membership of nearly 78,000, there are fewer than 2,500 distinguished with the honor of fellowship.

Bob Miller said, “I was delighted to learn of this honor, but I know it’s not all about me. I am grateful for the opportunity to represent a talented group of architects, the AIA, and our community. Many thanks to my friends and family for making this honor possible.”
